I assume it should be in the lol law thread, but shouldn’t those lawyers be punished?
This thread has 20 posts, so the answer is yes.
It’s gonna be fun when Macron’s center left party forms a government with the center right, who are called the Republicans no less, rather than the left.
There was a law in Florida that if part of the roof is damaged, the whole thing gets replaced. If your roof gets hit with x pieces of hail in a certain square, it is “damaged”. The roofers go up and just mark shit up in an area where hail was recorded (everywhere). What are the lawyers being punished for? They are just suing insurance companies over disallowed claims.
I’m convinced that like 70% of Florida voters just wish they were as good at scamming as Rick Scott, and respect his game.
There was a parking lot in Tampa that was free, but if you parked like 1mm on one of the lines between spots, which were super-faded, they would tow your car. It was a scam. The parking lot owners also owed the tow company.
I talked to a few locals about it and they were totally blasé about it. Like - oh yeah be careful in those lots. I was like - why are you not outraged by this? It’s like the whole state is just used to being constantly scammed.
Yeah they have these red light cameras where you randomly are not allowed to turn right for “safety”, except that the only warning is a small sign hanging from the traffic light. Anyone unfamiliar with the area or street is getting caught cause you can turn right on red 99% of the time.
What part of the country has “No Turn on Red” signs on 1% of lights?
Are you saying that 1% is low or high? You can turn right on red pretty much everywhere in Florida where they don’t have a traffic camera waiting to give you a ticket. You can see the no turn on red signs hanging on the light in this photo.
Florida gets all the bad apples from
other states who wanted a cheaper cost of living and less rules and love parking lots.

You don’t have to read the article but I did think it was funny that this guy is complaining about fatherlessness for Father’s Day when he clearly states in the article he had a father, he just had a shitty one, which I feel is a different problem from not knowing your father
He bought the home for $6.7M in 2015 and picked up the adjacent parcel for $6.7M in late 2019. I think he tore the house on that one down so he could put in a basketball court (without a permit and had to go through the couch cushions to pay the fines). He’s got almost 2 acres of prime lakefront and put in a new dock (fully permitted), but I don’t see anyone paying $85M for a place that’s adjacent to a lakefront park. I rented a room in the basement of a home a few blocks south of this place in 1985-86. It was cheap and my bedroom was less than 50 feet from the lake. The Redfin link calls this Hunt’s Point, which is way off. HP is located north of the 520 bridge.
So you know the actual address? Where is it really?
905 SHORELAND DR SE, BELLEVUE, WA 98004
Thanks
Looked through that listing on redfin and it appears to be different from the one fredd listed.
Also yours is only 28 million.
Yep–different home on Lake WA and definitely Hunt’s Point. My bad. I’ve known about this one since 2016. I’ll see if I can chase down the address on fredd’s listing.
Oreo to the rescue once again.
So Kenny G’s house is 3x the value of Russ and Ciara’s house?
Would not have guessed that.
Edit: It also appears that it may not actually be Kenny G’s house. Seems like he used to own it in the past.
France is part of US/Canada/Europe. You want this thread:
This game – though played on a regular tennis court – has been played for 100 years now. Czechs are extremely good at it (the version I’m talking about is called nohejbal). In fact, it was likely invented here and the first official rules were written here.
Obviously, this table-tennis sized thing is a little different (and much newer).
Don’t be mad that Trump is smarter than you. He simply has an intuitive grasp of science that the haters can’t fathom. I assume in a few years we’ll learn that bikes are bad for you too and we’ll finally understand the real reason he pledged not to ride one.
