Boomer gonna Boomer
bucs defense confirmed garbage, but Iāll always enjoy maximum pain for pats fans.
Sorry. Maximum pain was end of 2007 season, beginning of 2008 season and end of 2011 season. This is completely whatever. No Pats fan except the 85 year old guy in my deli expected anything but a loss tonight and instead what we saw was promise out of Jones. Obviously I would have preferred to win and was pretty annoyed at how cowardly Belichick was tonight (heās been underratedly terrible with fourth down decisions since like 2009) but the loss isnāt going to stop 90% of us from sleeping tonight
Yeah, this was more or less my takeaway from the whole thing. Mac Jones may actually be a legit franchise QB. Fuck the Pats and their fucking luckbox. Game result is largely meaningless.
Yeah weāre probably not doing anything this year but then again we werenāt supposed to do anything in 2001 but our defense was insane and we ran so pure
This is the greatest week of sports ever - we got Raiders/Chargers tomorrow, then two do or die MLB playoff games vs. teams I hate (so it will be fun to see them lose) - then Rams/Seahawks - good game - then more baseball playoffs - maybe some ok CFL games - then Chiefs/Bills
I wouldnāt put much faith in what Jones does against an awful bucs defense. our defense was bad with our starting secondary at the beginning of the year, weāre now starting Richard Sherman who we signed on like Thursday.
I was just shocked that the FG was that close to actually being good. I give that kick a hearty moral victory.
Iām not saying I think he was brilliant. I think heās still well below average. But he was decent against an NFL defense and other than the saints game heās shown that he can be a serviceable QB at worst in a year or two
Iāve long given BB the benefit of the doubt but that decision to kick is completely indefensible.
Heās been awful in fourth down decisions for over a decade but people think heās still brilliant because he once went for it against Manning
He seems like the type who would ignore criticism of his decision-making but I think going for it and not getting it back then changed him. I remember when Belichick was considered aggressive on 4th downs. Now heās regressed while the rest of the league has caught and passed him.
Not trying a FG from 48 yards on 4th and 13 in the first SB against the Giants was one of his worst coaching decisions.
You guys finally admit fat mike better than BB.

Remembering when crowd noise was a penalty. As so often happened from the 90s to the 2010s, a stupid rule change fucks the Chiefs, then goes away.
Folk was close to 50/50 to make a 56-yarder in those weather conditions? I donāt buy it.
