Yeah, I’ve wondered that too. Or if it’s the end of the game you can drain the clock completely and then give them exactly one shot.
Apparently I’ve been told there is some sort of rule that prevents these kind of intentional tactics, but I’m a little fuzzy on what it is and how it is penalized.

My take is he meant the gloves to distinguish from the ball, and the black receivers hands. I could be too woked though.
If it went down like that it’s a fine save. And it’s not like he’s wrong. On a tough call it could make it harder to see something. But still best no to go there of course.
Really the thing to do is to make the ball fluorescent orange or something like that.
