Why is going for 2 there the correct play? Is it simply that you know sooner that you need more scores if you miss?
Better to know right now if you’re actually down 1 score as opposed to leaving it at 8 and operating as if you’re down 1 score, but you could score a TD late fail the 2 pt. and then have no time to recover.
