my original purpose of the OP was “would this make a history book cut because it’s that bad” and that other shit either I missed dates like the aussie fires which I didn’t realize did cross over to 2020 or it just doesn’t make that cut. It wasn’t meant to be a comprehensive list but my error was not putting the other things there with an explanation. People got all mad I guess so maybe I’ll just count it and move on.

I saw a tweet from someone saying their kid told them “we’re living through a social studies chapter”. I think that sums it up well.
