Exit polling is notoriously terrible, but I will be interested in post election statistics. I definitely think the youth turnout was huge, but I think it was WAY more even split than we had hoped. Trump gained huge with conspiracy theory idiots, qanon types, and people who just wanted to pretend covid was over.

Nah. Reagan was the governor of CA and had been politically active a long time. Trump went full throated fascist and it worked.
I agree it’s the same spectrum but it was far from obvious that it was possible before Trump. Now its obvious.
