I had planned to be glued to election coverage (and UP) starting around noon Tuesday, but got a phone call Tuesday morning that you don’t really want to hear - “Mom got taken to the ER in an ambulance this morning, not sure what happened”. There have been some ups and downs since Tuesday, but it looks like things are going to turn out ok and she’ll return home in the next day or two.
I haven’t really been participating in threads since then, but it’s been absolutely great to keep up with the news through the UP filter. So thanks to everyone here for providing great content over a rough few days for me.
Also, both Biden and Harris were fantastic tonight, and I’m getting drunk in celebration of everything.

You’re conflating “mail ballots outstanding” with “mail ballots recieved.” NC is pretty much gone for Biden and definitely gone for Cunningham.
I’m kind of amazed at how we’ve managed to not be on the darkest timeline for the past day or so. No real violence, unrest, etc.

I STILL can’t help but wonder if these bursted water pipes, clerical errors resulting in 3k more Biden votes, and severe confusion about how many ballots are left - is the Democrats trying to make sure Kemp can’t rig it.
I mean Kemp had to feel pretty good when the NYT GA needle went to deep red. Like - ok guys we’ve flipped enough votes, we’re good now.
I cannot shake this idea. Dumbass midwestern Dems probably believe Ohio tally machines are legit. But Southern Dems know Southern Rs are FOS - and plan accordingly.

Biden’s DOJ should investigate all of this. I’m also very interested in these Texas border counties that had massive numbers of new Trump voters. Election security is one of the most important and lasting things he can do. Mitch can block a lot, but he should do as much as he can.

Yeah, fact is Georgia’s been rapidly changing. Abrams registered a shit ton of people. And voters were pissed off. This wasn’t shenanigans.
