World Cup 2022: Congrats to Argentina and the GOAT (WATCH THIS GAME, BEST GAME EVER)

Morocco v France would be a tasty SF.

no cancelo / leao starting?

Nope.

These Croatian/Morocco teams obviously arenā€™t bad but I am slightly annoyed the more defensive teams have rode their luck to this point.

Had $ on Morocco to beat Spain, didnā€™t bet this game.

Canada could have had 2 or 3, Portugal could have 2 or 3.

Just ride your luck and who knows.

Had a little fun bet against Portugal at 1.66 - stupid price.

These are all home games for Morocco.

I had Portugal in a sweepstakes and would have made money with a semi final finish sh but Iā€™m so glad they lost. Fuck you ronaldo and fuck you Hernandez

Yeah I might have backed them double chance today but didnā€™t even wake up for kickoff, was so tired from the games then working and playing poker yesterday.

The last game really had people forgetting this Por team often has trouble creating and scoring despite the talent.

was there a reason given?

yeah upon reflection Iā€™m gonna root for France because itā€™s got to be the matchup Morocco wants, right?

Not going to bench Ramos off a hat trick and then who are you benching of Felix/Fernandes?

Looking through past matches, I guess neither has really been starting this World Cup. Iā€™d drop any of them for him.

VVD thinking he can just get it past any keeper who knows where he is going seems like a leak. He has to be perfect every time.

Leao has a ton of promise and talent but Bruno is the first name on the team sheet and Felix is maybe their most talented player.

Definitely. Shame it canā€™t be Algeria v France.

US vs all of Africa? Hope the US side got odds.

Has a former colony ever beaten its colonizer in the World Cup before this World Cup? Would be bananas if Morocco manages to beat BOTH its colonizers in this one.

Kind of depends on how you define colonizer? Did the English kind of colonize Wales?

It was a bet in the 1990s that US investment in soccer would eventually propel them to world powerhouse status. The US has made a lot of improvement over that time.

First one I thought of was Brazil/Portugal.

Brazil hasnā€™t beaten Portugal in the WC. Theyā€™re 0-1-1

However, without checking, Iā€™m sure one of the other SA teams has beaten Spain. Iā€™m pretty sure I remember Chile doing it.
