Once again the American people have found and nominated the two most qualified US citizens to vie for the presidency. Now, like Lincoln and Douglas, these luminaries will face off in the arena of intellectual combat, a presidential debate.
I believe such a significant and solemn event deserves its own thread. That said, I will probably be unable to watch due to TDS but plan to actively follow on relevant social media sites, including this thread.
Thoughts, predictions, anyone want to make an actually good opening post? (I’m literally at an Olive Garden after a dentist appointment.)
I normally consume debates like candy but I just don’t think I can watch tonight. I sort of dread that Trump is leading in all the polls and appears headed to a win. I’d be sweating every tiny Biden mistake knowing that the press will magnify each one, all the while Trump lies and rambles nonsensically for 2 hours and is met with “Trump keeps Biden and moderators off balance” headlines.
