P(UFOs are aliens on vacation) > P(this in 5 years).
The procedure of the brain chip’s installation is simple. A piece of the skull is cut out, with the chip in place of the hole.

I’ll buy that. I think my 30s was not too far off peak mental and physical state. My career was at the point where financially I had more than enough and I had all kinds of free time (until kids, which was towards the end of 30s).
Was I happier at 5? Maybe. But I think that is a slightly different question. On the other hand, maybe it’s not.
Can I bet my net worth on the over please?
Well I doubt you could pin Musk down to criteria worth betting on. Five-ten years is just the science bro version of Trump’s two weeks. I’m nearly ten years out of date and without looking I’m ~100% certain the most basic issues are not close to being resolved. Ok, breakthroughs can happen but Musk is fos.
Edit: I looked. Yeah, “significant progress,” if you ignore step motherfucking one.
Over many years, significant progress has been made in this field, but some obstacles have remained elusive—notably preventing glial encapsulation and electrode degradation.
Not really loving the massive existential crisis that hits in the early 40’s, tbqh.
My existential crisis was in my late 20s when I lost my job, it concluded when I figured out I couldn’t get another one. I came to terms with my life, so I guess my 30s were better.
Just turned 40 a few weeks ago, so probably a good time for this conversation.
20’s is more like a mini dry run for mid-life existential crises.
I feel like it’s just been a long slow motion existential train wreck since I was 18 but that could just be the depression talking.
I feel like over the past decade conservatives have been trying to make Memorial Day some kind of day of national mourning and heap shame on people who use the time to kick back and BBQ. I don’t think they’ve ever gotten any traction with this idea.
Nice job getting blocked by Owens.

John Hinckley is like Rand Paul’s neighbor. Ultimately, I think of them as failures.
A great day for technology!
A military drone may have autonomously attacked humans for the first time without being instructed to do so, according to a recent report by the UN Security Council.
Kargu is a “loitering” drone that uses machine learning-based object classification to select and engage targets, according to STM, and also has swarming capabilities to allow 20 drones to work together.
“The lethal autonomous weapons systems were programmed to attack targets without requiring data connectivity between the operator and the munition: in effect, a true ‘fire, forget and find’ capability,” the experts wrote in the report.
“If anyone was killed in an autonomous attack, it would likely represent an historic first known case of artificial intelligence-based autonomous weapons being used to kill,” he added.
Neighbors had a 90 minute huge fight, sounded like he was violent towards her, kid crying, cops called by someone at some point. Now they’ve found out he has a warrant from Quebec.
Feel bad for the kid, their first weekend in the place they had a gigantic fight fight she threw all his stuff into the hallway. A ton of drugs in the apt police have said they dgaf about.
Edit* must have misheard, its the female under arrest. Looks late 20s.
So cool!
Truly we’re living in the world we always dreamed of.
