Democrats asked for the DHS bill to be removed and the other five bills passed separately. Republicans asked for a longer extension of current funding. Dems cut that down to two weeks.

We will see where this leads. I think abolishing ICE is an aspirational goal that realistically won’t be accomplished soon. Enough Senate Democrats will find a compromise before it gets that far. Well, unless Republicans commit a bunch of unforced errors, which can always happen.
