What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas. Except Threesomes.

I suddenly feel good about not having been to Vegas in a decade.

Better off dropping 15K in high limit blackjack so you get free tower suites and food 4 lyfe. Then just walk over to the pool and get a normal chair like a pleb.

Is it accurate that you have to have a mask on at all times while at the pool except while swimming? Gotta be some pretty crazy mask tans out there if true.

The loophole at Aria was you could keep the mask off when a drink was in your hand.

Was there actually any enforcement of any kind? Someone reminding people to put mask back on if it was off?

Oh yea. They were actively harassing people that weren’t following the rules.

While we’re on the subject, can someone explain the attraction of just hanging out at the pool?

I had a buddy whose main goal was scoping out potential hookups, which I can understand. Or maybe if you’re from Alaska or something and never see the sun. But other than that, I guess I just don’t get it. Especially in LV where there are tons of other things you could do if your goal is to just chill with some friends and have a few drinks.

They should start putting these cabanas in the buffet too imo.

Totally agree. It’s the last thing I want to do in Vegas!

To each their own. To me playing poker is a pretty terrible waste of time in Vegas too unless you’re on a solo trip or playing at a table with other poker playing friends.

I’ve usually used hanging out at the pool as a sort of relaxing mid-day break during summer trips to Vegas.

My wife and friends are not that big of gamblers but I am. The daybed gives them a place to hang out together in the sun all day without worrying about trying to find a seat. If I knew that we could easily roll up and get chairs then I wouldn’t buy one, but I have a hard time believing that will be the case in June. It’s my first time in Vegas though so maybe I’m wrong.

I think that getting the spot for that price is fine given that they want to do that. I just don’t understand them wanting to do that.

Of course, I’m a bit odd. For example, my general aversion to dining outside is documented somewhere on here the last time the topic came up.

The Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace is set to reopen on May 20. I ate there once, after busting from a tournament at the Venetian, and tried to recoup my buy-in via meat and seafood. The hours afterwards were somewhat unpleasant.

I went there once seeking out a high quality buffet and was very unimpressed. Price:Quality ratio is an important buffet factor for me. I have yet to find a $45+ buffet that justifies the price point.

Out of the few buffets I’ve had, that was probably the best. Aria is ok. I wouldn’t pay for either.

Here’s another buffet idea: Casinos should hide the occasional black chip in the potato salad etc…

I was going to pop my Vegas buffet cherry by going to Wicked Spoon - should I look elsewhere?

Reservations acquired for STK and Momofuku. Cosmo pool was thousands of dollars to rent a cabana I guess so lol at that, we hitting up the Flamingo pool

i don’t understand why anyone would go to vegas for relaxing at the pool when you can go to an all inclusive resort at Cabo or something for cheaper.

It’s scorching hot, crowded and expensive.

Otoh i probably lost over 100k lifetime in vegas so maybe i should have stayed at the pool

People like to gamble while their spouses do not.
