Got through to a Cuomo staffer after waiting on hold for almost an hour. She said she hadn’t heard about this issue before, but she would pass my concerns along to the governor.
Schumer and Gillibrand are voicemail only at this point, so I left messages for them.
another plan is to not postmark them then challenge the ballots for not being postmarked.
well that’s as stupid as it sounds so even a rw judge might not let that fly but who the **** knows what judge he’d actually get, and if it goes to SCOTUS, you’re now relying on mr. I’m perfectly fine suppressing all votes as the swing judge.
but they might just have the GOP legislatures all insist the day of is the only thing that counts for electoral votes… I know that sounds ridiculous but if I can think of crazy shit so did at least one of them.
I’m still using the post office but man it’s gonna suck. They literally just destroyed the machines or threw them in dumpsters, there is no fixing this–can we defeat the fucking ghouls first before we fight amongst ourselves again?
Hi everyone. I haven’t been around as much lately and saw this thread. This is why I haven’t been around as much:
Text and phone banking with Powered By People in Texas. Beto’s PAC with stated goal to reach every voter in Texas and clean up long neglected democratic voting lists in Texas. Pushing for Biden GOTV now and will turn focus to future races in Texas.
Phone and text banking for Debra Edmondson who is running for Texas House district 98. Current GOP incumbent is a frack waste water supporting grifter. District 98 sits in Tarrant County which is one of the reddest counties in Texas, so we have a long way to go. But yeah, making 100 calls a day and enjoying getting cursed at by local Republican voters, lol.
Forming a PAC in my local town (Southlake) to provide financial and volunteer support for local progressive city council and school board trustee candidates. Right now, the cupboard is bare but thanks to a local racial diversity initiative being stalled by the school board, many residents are finally waking up. We are ~300 strong at this point. While that’s a laughable 1% of total population, it’s probably double what we were just a month ago. Most of my time here is spent advocating for the initiative to come out of committee and be voted for approval. School board sent it to committee as a way to kill it.
2 and 3 are consuming most of my time. I don’t worry about 1 as much because if I can get traction on 2 and 3, then 1 should indirectly benefit by the increased GOTV activities in 2 and 3.
