Welcome to the Noncompliance: Cry 'No Kings!' and Let Slip the Frogs of War

thanks probably wont make it past the filter but worth another try

pretty sure a human is reviewing these

why hasnt newsom taken the hour flight on his private jet to show his face and make a quick dumb speech in LA yet? easiest PR win ever. the military is literally invading an american city to police civilians, it isnt even constitutional. outside of the civil rights era has this happened since? like wtaf? you filed a restraining order? nice strongly worded letter

im aware he doesnt actually give a fuck about los angeles because he’s termed out in CA but it’d give good PR on the national stage too. dumbass. bet that $40 billion we were gonna get from FEMA for wildfire relief is toast too, not gonna hear a squeak about that when he eventually runs for office. we’ll just hear about all he did for CA. as a governor this is like, your bare minimum duty to fight back against this kind of shit

Lol they’re so bad at this. Washington Generals

What’s the +/- for 99.99% non-violent protests where some stuff happens that the protest organizers have no control over, like a few kids lighting Waymos on fire and some opportunists looting an Apple store, but the fires and looting are blasted 24/7 by a breathless MSM and an even more breathless right-wing media?

lol @ anybody remembering these protests within a month, let along by the time elections roll around.

The error bars are big so there’s no point in arguing about fractions of a percent. What’s clear is non-violence is the way to go. The other side knows this too. Even, or especially, Trump. That’s why there’s a fight over the narrative. Also why they’re provoking protestors.

Authorities can figure out where drones are being flown from correct? Can one set up a hub to give instructions to a drone where they give instructions to the hub similar to a VPN?

They want to provoke protestors. Protestors should be trying to provoke cops into a disproportionate response. Given a sufficiently bad response, it doesn’t matter who struck the first blow.

This was my initial thought, but what happens after the disproportionate response? In the past I would have hoped that public outcry would make a difference, but I don’t think I still believe that would change anything.

If Newsome wants to lead he needs to be in front, getting arrested on TV.

If you want to think about it that way, peaceful protest is the “provocation.” Trying to escalate beyond that immediately gets you into -ev territory.

It depends on how disproportionate the response is. I’m pretty sure you get a significant reaction if Trump explicitly orders troops to fire on civilians.

It depends on how disproportionate of a response you can provoke. How many people remember that rocks were thrown at the National Guard at Kent State vs how many people remember that people were killed?

Yeah, I dunno. 30% of Americans would be like “fuck yeah”. A lot of people would be appalled, but a lot of people are appalled now, so.

That level is unnecessary and atm unlikely. The troops in CA haven’t even been issued live ammo, I believe.

people are different now and view things differently than 60 years ago. In my opinion drones are needed to make ICE scared.

Winning is what matters now, not showing the horror of the opposition.
