Those 3 off the top of my head for sure. I’m taking Doseone and Slug minimum over him but let me stew on it for a minute. I have tables going not that losing EV normally stops me lol.

til sage francis is white lol
In the context of the discussion yes. Its problematic and I’m even rethinking whether or not its bad form but that only makes the argument for him being a top mc worse, not better.
where on earth did you get that from my post
My bad, you really didn’t know. This is actually pretty hilarious since I actually thought Em was black when I first heard him. PROGRESS
Can you explain what is problematic for someone who has not heard of anyone on your list?
Also, top three Asian rappers?
Nothing problematic though you’re definitely missing out on some amazing artists who are primarily doing it for the right reasons. Sage Francis is like Saul Willliams; a poet who happens to rap.
I don’t wanna parse anymore based on race/ethnicity. I see now it’s a bad look that is at least partially motivated by ego.
yeah i really didn’t know lol. i always heard him mentioned alongside Saul Williams or as like heirs to Gil Scott-Heron so i just assumed he was Black too
Feels like all the strife in this thread is being manufactured for the sake of hyping up the reveal…
NGL it’s working pretty well, gonna be real psyched for this one. Expecting an P&R gif reaction for every song submitted.
I don’t really like to say no…
I know what your name references but I’m gonna pretend I don’t and say damn you really know how to crush the fun.
I did and you’re making all this etymology up. Or your memory is faulty.
I mean, I should leave it alone because it’s entertaining but but your posting on this topic actually is lowkey wildly racist and offensive.
Black people be up in the STREETS listening to BANGERS they ain’t got no time for no WIKIPEDIA EDITS.
Like wat the f am I even reading.
dude said you suckas need to check blakipedia for that fresh real etymology LIKE HOLY SHIT
J to the R O C, know what I’m saying?
Your straight up lying through your teeth if you didnt hear the term “banger” for hip hop in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. I was living in ATL and consuming mass amounts of hip hop through mulitiple radio shows.
Also at you thinking “whitebread” refers exclusively to race. Interesting at how you cherry pick when things are filtered through a racial lens and when they’re not. Translation = you can dish it out but can’t take it in.
I already admitted that my takes needed to be enlightened. Guess you didn’t read that part but came in on the tail end to “dunk” on me. That’s like 99% of your posts.
Americans needing “white” versions" of black artists is historical fact at this point. I’m willing to admit that we can evolve past that conversation. Mos Def made an entire track about this subject.
Also Fuck Off.
Thanks for letting me in on the fun. This actually inspired me to start digging through my records which was sorely needed. Life’s a funny old dog isn’t it. I
I’m withdrawing from this walrus (final answer). I simply won’t tolerate accusations of being “wildly racist” and being called a liar.
this is the perfect walrus for 2020 elections time
Poster’s reactions to people who always thought Eminem was overrated is a perfect analogy for Boomer’s reactions to the first black president.
but is it a banger
