The Iraq war was over and a recession had started prior to election day. Two things that are probably unlikely in this case.

Trump ends the trade war and starts a real war like a week apart.
I donât agree that this is good for him. $8/gallon gas or a stock market mini-crash panic and heâs toast. Thatâs assuming we arenât under martial law or suspending elections by that point.

Election is almost in a year. Thatâs long enough that people will be over the initial patriotic surge. The only way this really works for Trump is if he prematurely hangs a Mission Accomplished banner.
Bernie already out in front calling it an assassination and Biden is going to have a republican vice president.
Not going to cry for the guy. Went to a war zone and got got. If the US joint chiefs of staff go to iraq and eat it, thatâs war.
The actual bad:
another nail in Iran nuclear treaty coffin
escalating conflict in iraq, lebanon, etc
Potential upside, if Iran sees trump as a more personal threat, they may work toward his exposure and embarrassment.

Meh, they are both basically saying the same thing with different words. Biden is trying to put Trump on the spot and Sanders has already given up on even trying to do that.

Biden is such an embarrassment to humanity.
Itâs different enough. Biden is not privy to the intelligence. Maybe Trump is right? Who is Biden to judge?
Letâs not kid ourselves if Biden were in the Senate still he would be voting for a war against Iran in a heartbeat given the type of political cover that would need to exist for that vote to ever happen.
Someone should ask the Child-Rapist-in-Chief if he intends to implement John McCainâs idea of bombing Iran.
