heh, I was halfway through making a post with that thread in it. For people who donât click through, his thinking is that this is Iranâs face-saving conventional response designed to defuse war, but that the real revenge will come via unconventional means in weeks or months. Cites previous instances of Iranian revenge against Israel. If this is true, expect an attack on a US embassy or something somewhere by âIran linked militiasâ in like 1-2 monthsâ time. Makes a lot of sense to me. The Iranian desire for revenge is real, but they know they cannot kill Americans conventionally and avoid war.

If theyâre serious that they blame Trump personally and not the American people, but still need to target some buildings to show that state-sanctioned assassinations are frowned upon, I can give them a list of buildings to target. Theyâre not hard to miss; they have gaudy signs on them.

Ballistic missiles leave plenty of time to hide. Why US uses cruise missiles. A measured response by Iran, intended to not trigger retaliation. At least one side is rational.

I feel like Iâm living Brave New World right now and itâs as fucked as the book made it seem. We assassinate a sovereign countryâs military commander and call it de-escalation and their response an act of war. Itâs dystopian. And we have a stable genius at the wheel and heâs driving us straight into a fucking tree.

The extreme white supremacists want our wars to end in the Middle East not because they dont like war or killing or anything like that but because its causing refugees to come to Europe.
Plus they are already mad at him for not deporting all the undocumented immigrants and dreamers.
If they vote they still vote for him though. Hope the split sticks and causes many them to stay home at least.

Thatâs going to be it. Heâll feel he made his point and that he won. Thereâs no reason to press further. As erratic and unstable as he is, his instincts are not to start wars. He doesnât even understand strategic objectives. Itâs all a PR campaign to him. He can very easily spin this Iran attack as a pathetic failure, thatâs all he cares about.
I think in the short term itâll be a win domestically for Trump, but as someone said earlier, no way anyone even remembers this shit in November. The remaining question is what happens if and when Iranâs real proxy retaliation arrives.
