Unstuck NFL Fantasy League ****-talking Thread

Yeah a lot of people who drafted Jefferson should also have James Connor.

I somehow drafted Achane in the 10th round and talked so much shit to everyone about it I completely deserved his injury.

Oh ya also I had Fields and Tua and I traded Tua for Swift this week.

Geez I hope itā€™s nothing serious

I definitely need all the help I can get with Jefferson and Sanders banged up

I trade for David Montgomery and boom injured!

Apparently, I still have a good chance to win though.

Non ppr Trade ideas:
Iā€™m in first @5-1.
WRs: T.Hill, Nacua, Kirk, Higgins, Jeudy, Doubs
RBs: Saquon, Taylor, Z.Moss, Kyren Williams, Jeff Wilson

  1. Nacua for Jefferson, counterparty is in 10th at 2-4. They rejected this originally, could I add something?

  2. Kyren Williams for Achane? Might have to throw in a decent WR too as they are 4-2 in 2nd and have Ekeler and Jacobs at RB(only have 3 rbs with Achane) and donā€™t have great WRs after K. Allen.

Iā€™m a Phins fan so love the idea of getting more Dolphins on my team.

Unless Kirk can pray his achilles to miraculously heal, Iā€™m open to trading a WR for a QB. A few of you have some pretty good backups.

If only Kirk got injured a few weeks agoā€¦

I forgot that my kicker got cut last week so I got zero kicker points, lost of course.

Itā€™s a miracle my team is 4-4, might be the worst team in the league.

I (team Fani pack) was 0-4 and then had the blowout of the week for 3 straight weeks, followed by a narrower win last week. Tough matchup upcoming but actually liking my chances of clawing back into playoff contention.

@ElSapo is completely inactive. No way your team is worse than he is.

I was pretty happy to get that 1 win, and i a tually set a lineup this week!

sending you a PM.

Itā€™s a longshot

Longshot to beat you for sure. But even if you beat me this week, I might have the second highest point total for the week, and thatā€™s with a pretty standard sit / start decision screw up (sitting Diontae for Downs), then Downs shows up on the injury report late after Diontae already played. My team is relatively healthy and performing alright (though Kupp needs to start putting up elite numbers again)

Still think I get a chance to sneak into the playoffs and get hot

So glad I needed a lot more than that Conklin TD to win, or I would be eternally annoyed right now.

If someone had a small lead going into Monday night, could they bench a player to make sure they didnā€™t score negative? Is that allowed?

Just curious. I wafflecrushed JohnnyA, so no need here.

Watch Diggs go for 60 now that I said that.

Obviously every league has itā€™s own rules, but in every league I have ever been in, that would be allowed and everyone would consider it fine. Iā€™ve seen it done a few times.

Iā€™ve never actually seen the benched player score negative though.

If your lead is really small, then you might actually want to play them in case of a stat correction.

If it was a defense Iā€™d think about it. Iā€™ve seen QBs be negative for a while. If your QB throws a pick 6 then gets hurt, that could be bad.

Oh, Iā€™ve seen plenty of negative QB scores, Iā€™ve just never seen it happen in the instance when the QB was benched to preserve a win. Low sample size probably. Itā€™s not that common an occurrence.

I considered doing that last year in the final because I was up by less than a point with Joe Burrow to play. I had to balance the possibility of a negative stat correction with the odds of Burrow scoring negative points.

Of course that was the Damar Hamlin game. So he got no points.

My fantasy league is 20 years old, friends who take it super seriously and pay attention every week. Seems considerably tougher than any work league Iā€™ve ever played in.

Last year a friend moved to Europe and had to auto draft and wins the league for the first time and this year his auto draft team is in first place.
