With a claimed rating of 3000, I wouldn’t rule out trolling.

I just created an account. Is it ok if I play a few games to get a real-ish rating? I am seriously terrible.
Ok I lost one and won one at high 900’s. That was mentally taxing. Blitz is fucking hard. I only made a few mistakes according to the analyzer which makes me feel better. I was running super low on time so I just started attacking hoping he’d do something stupid and he did. But I know you guys aren’t gonna blunder much, so gg me. I just cannot think quickly enough and my knowledge of openings is basically zilch, I forgot everything especially as black.

I haven’t played on a chess site in years and don’t remember my previous name. I’ll create a new Lichess account with the same username as here, and so my rating will be whatever the site starts me out with.
I created account of same name on lichess and did some puzzles but will play some games to try to get a rating later today
Never done blitz before so my rating will be a few hundred lower in that mode I’m sure
Chess King has a bunch of free apps that teach you the basics and beyond. I can highly recommend them, especially getting familiar with the tactic patterns is very useful.
Should we just start challenging the people who are online on lichess?

RECORDING RESULTS
Obviously that’s what the grid on sheet is for. The result you record should be for the player on the horizontal line, so 1 if they won, 0.5 if it was a draw and 0 if they lost. Make the number a hyperlink and link the game. I’m planning to look through games and pull out interesting stuff in a game thread.
The score counter is working, but the rating performance column isn’t, I’ll have to write a script for that and haven’t got around to it yet.
So it‘s only going to be best of 1? I wouldn’t mind playing one game with white and black against everyone. I don‘t think it‘s much of a time commitment.
Shrug, we can run another one, I didn’t want to get too ambitious. 38 games or whatever would be a lot for some people.

guyguyerson1 makin’ moves (2016 → 2061), although I don’t think I’m going to catch spinetta because if I play another game in the next 16 hours I’m going to puke. I’m going to take a day or two but I’m ready to play, evenings EST best, almost any time on the weekends.

Man I’m horrible at blitz; I have been playing lichess this weekend 5+3 and I move way too fast the whole time and get crushed. I’ll be lucky to win one game in this thing.
Yeah 5+3 you have enough time to sit for a minute or two to think if you need to. It’s still a blitz game, but it isn’t bullet.
