Ukraine, Russia, and the West

You see how many armed personnel carriers they claim to have destroyed?

I realize my childhood believing Red Dawn could have really happened was a total fraud.

US “liberal hegemon” is a favorite turn of phrase of putin. go read his historical papers. lol. it’s also a very russian language because in english it’s hegemony, and the west uses “world order” instead.

High hundreds I think? And a couple of hundred tanks? Could be. That doesn’t necessarily mean all that much though. When Israel took a bunch of land in the 1967 war they lost like half of their tanks, proportionally more than the Arab states they were conquering. A lot of them were not seriously damaged but had to be abandoned to maintain the speed of their advance.

what if i told you you are just repeating russian propaganda?

I’d tell you I don’t read Russian propaganda. And that all good propaganda has elements of truth in it.

Nato has an open door policy if you meet requirements

Couldn’t you just post in good faith instead?

Why aren’t we signing more people up then? There should be an active campaign to have as many nations in NATO as possible.

legit kneeslapping punchline

Is there a typo here or am I misreading this?

there’s a well known univ of chikago professor who says they did this exact thing in the 90s, and an eastern european dictator who claims he was snubbed from nato in 2000.

I’d agree, Eastern Europe was oddly helped by Communism curbing the worst excesses of centuries entrenched gentry and restricting the looting to a very very small class of new political elites. Resulting in a bit more of the pie for everyone else.

It was close to a thousand last I saw. If it is accurate, seems fairly respectable even if Russia has thousands more.

Of course those all were not the victims of the US Javelins. I am surprised to see that number being relatively low. US weapons make up for volume with price.

You would think hundreds of the javelins could have been provided, but clearly I am ignorant on international arms trading.

ycbwf.

honestly true or not, ukraine is playing the social media war and the diplomatic sparring war much better than russia
