One of the consistent flaws in Marxist thinking, recapitulated in putin-type nationalist thinking, is that greedy capitalists are dumb and predictable and they always sell out. Things are more complex. Now here’s the world’s richest (2nd?) man commenting on a video explaining the ideological roots of Putin’s stupid war, saying (probably accurately) that it overestimates the role of economics.
Putin ain’t gonna live to see the full development of Ukrainian gas resources, but he does want to be the founder of greater Russia.
