I guess I’m not sure what’s in these leaks or how it matters at all.
Could Ukraine have avoided this if they agreed to not join NATO/EU and not allow USA/EU army bases? Seems like that might have been a better option than what we are witnessing?
So the plan looks like ~leveling Kharkiv, surrounding Kyiv, threatening to do the same there, and expecting an unconditional surrender?
Honest question. Why are we posting random videos from random twitter people with interpretations of what kind of munitions etc or other interpretations requiring specialized knowledge?
Wouldn’t we endlessly mock the right if they were doing this on another issue?
Dear god. Seeing these videos adds a whole level of realism that is hard to comprehend.
Russia has suspended broadcasts of Echo of Moscow and Dozhd TV, only two channels where guests were calling the war as it has been going.
this is going “great” for russia. a few more cluster bombs and president ZeRambo is definitely going to unconditionally surrender.
Because the weapons they’re using, and where, matter a lot? Truly have no idea what point you could possibly think you’re making here.
of course not
The identification of the weapon being used is hardly the reason for posting the videos. They’re as impactful whether you correctly call it a MLRS or incorrectly say it’s a ZX29b.
What did Ukraine need to agree to to avoid being invaded?
Right, its all gibberish to most of us anyways.
The world needs to stop buying Russian energy.
It’s indefensible that Europe hasn’t developed a Plan B - Putin has been a lunatic for decades.
I want to be optimistic, but then I recall we had a brain addled conman in the WH for 4 years, and almost no one in his inner circle pushed back against him very hard or very publicly. And then he nearly won reelection. Imagine if he had given his advisors and cabinet secretaries millions, was smarter, and also controlled the media.
There are also major differences as well, and this is a bit like Trump invading Canada, but people rarely get their shit together, or have no interest in doing so, when it comes to deposing terrible leaders. Hell, Trump was served up on a silver platter in the impeachment and gop senators balked.
Their best chance would have been to throw out their government and put in a Putin puppet like Lukashenko. Even then I am not sure if it would have worked as Putin believe Ukraine should not exist as a separate country.
The only way they could have remained a sovereign nation and not been invaded by Putin is actually joining the EU or NATO, but it wasn’t up to them. There is no appeasing a megalomaniac.
Maersk is no longer going to go into russian ports.
welcome to economic hell
This is why the lefts distaste for North American energy production and pipelines is so ill-advised.
