Man, I need to review an episode summary, how did ppl keep up with this plot before they had wikis.
The local sheriff guy is actually brilliant at solving murders, but he doesn’t believe in himself because he’s a small-town yokel so his subconscious has constructed this Cooper persona that walks him through solving the mystery. But really it’s the sheriff all along. Kind of like how Columbo had an imaginary wife.
