a) My lack of precision in communicating his position
b) You believing that the position could only actually be parody or caricature due to your perception of its absurdity
next best solution I’ve seen is ‘nationwide strike’ and ‘move out of the country’, so while it may be a SSC it’s the best I’ve seen.
It’s the 3rd best of the list you mention and I’m not sure it’s close.

Calling it a lie is dramatic? Oh ok. Is what you said true? No. Is tagging me out of the blue unfriendly? You know it is! When you tag someone out of the blue throwing year plus old statements back in his face that’s hostile. When you’re lying about what that person said? Even more hostile. Don’t be surprised when you get hostility thrown back at you.

The only good thing I can possibly think of about this is that things sometimes have to get worse before they get better.
Unfortunately to get there can take generations, and involve a lot of heartache, maybe even violence.
If Republicans continue down the path of minority extremist rule, eventually they’re going to face a normie backlash. Hopefully we still have a democracy when that happens.

I’m grunching, but thought this was relevant. I literally met this friend on 2p2 and became close enough that we attended each other’s weddings, gone on vacation etc… COVID isolation and conspiracies really did a number on him.
You can’t argue with airtight logic like this.
Also - obviously he knows my wife is Jamaican. Gotta throw the black comment in there for grins.
