Bernie needs to win today. I believe he’ll do better than current markets suggest but we’ll see I guess.
Yeah, for the past several weeks everyone’s been saying how favorable ST is for Bernie, and in the past few days it’s all doom and gloom? I don’t get it. I’m still pretty sure he’s going to come out the delegate leader today, and probably by quite a bit.
A lot has changed in the last two weeks. Pete and Amy dropping is bad, polls are worse than they were, Biden rising like a phoenix in SC, etc.
Biden won his first state in 30 years, proving his electability. Now everyone’s jumped on board and it’s full steam ahead. No Malarkey 2020.
This forum tends to be pretty reactive
It’s definitely texas. Mass/MN also important for bernie just to quell some of the TV tonight, which is going to end up with a lot of biden states in the key hours. Bernie’s projected to mostly sweep out west, but lots will be asleep then.
I’m still confident that Bernie will win today but not by a big enough margin to put the race away. It’s what Dirty Ds have clearly signaled that they intend to do next that has me on pre-tilt.
Honestly, this is what pisses me off most. He wins ONE state and the press hands him a crown on a pillow.
ugh.
Speaking for myself, everything I was ever sure about, I was wrong about. I thought Brexit could never happen, I thought hillary was a lock, I thought Labour might get a hung parliament for christs sake. Any time I thought I was standing on solid ground everything was pulled out from under me. You can’t help that deep sinking feeling when things start to seem like they are turning against you. At least I can’t. This is kind of it. There is nothing positive on the horizon after this moment if things go wrong. If a populist left wing movement can’t beat a doddering and senile old man then it means the powerful have already tightened their grip to a point where we’ll never get it back.
It would work to trick Trump but McConnell would explain what was happening or just sit on the nomination if he couldn’t get Trump to understand he was being duped. It’s already happened once where Trump was on board with a Dem plan to patch up the ACA and McConnell & co. shut that shit down.
I’m no ideologue, I’m not worried about movements and the like. I just want to beat Trump. I think of the remaining people, Bernie is the best to do that.
I just pray that whoever wins picks a VP young and popular enough to be around for 12 years…because look, ima be 100% honest here, neither of these guys is going to be able to run for re-election.
We’re electing a one-term president, and it makes me sick to my stomach. I know it’s not traditional to announce VP picks early, but I really think both of them should, because that’s who we’re really voting for.
ugh. WAAF.
That’s not the same, you’re talking about Trump being on board with a transparent mutual agreement. I’m saying be obvious to everyone but Trump by shouting how much you will destroy Trump if he puts this person in power.
You just have to trigger Trump enough that he won’t back down. Get him to call Mitch a moron in a tweet or on live TV.
Someone shat in the new 2+2 mod’s Corn Pops this morning so I was banned for making a joke about AOC’s tinder dates a little while ago.
I’ll sweat this one with you guys today.
I think you’re all being way to pessimistic in response to the recent Biden media bump. You’re going to have a ton of republicans showing up to vote Bernie for the memes, and Joe Biden is not exactly an inspirational candidate. Millions of fellow Bernie Bros are going to show up in force today. Does Biden even have a base?
If inso becomes the calm voice of rationality itt then we do need to all chill out a bit.
It’s not. Raising interest rates was smart and saved the economy from much worse inflation. It addressed a problem that Carter inherited and he bit the bullet where Nixon had been exacerbating it, making the future worse because hopefully it’d be someone else’s problem.
Biden has the biggest base of them all: olds, especially since Klobuchar and Buttigieg dropped out and handed their 65+ voters to Biden.
Voting is an extremely important duty and privilege as far as my mother is concerned. Yesterday she didn’t know what state Bernie was from.
This is inappropriate
Is this the part where we get inundated by “moderates” attempting their dunks or what?
It’s the moderate-misogynist coalition that Biden’s counting on!
