An entire generation will spend like 40 years waiting for their parents to die. When they finally “get their shot” they’ll be like 60-80 and too emotionally scarred to do anything productive.
Not just emotionally scarred, but they will have lived an entire era within the world of conservatively-framed policy issues. They’ll still be trotting out bullshit lines like “how are we going to pay for it” and “it should be bipartisan!” because it’s all they’ve ever known. Even the ones that can get over the emotional scarring of getting beat down by conservatives year after year won’t know what the fuck to do if they actually got power. (A moot point, because they won’t have power.)
Add in the world likely being a disaster due to climate change by then as well.

Chuck heads up a senate “majority” which includes a bunch of useless old fucks. Sure, he’s a useless old fuck himself, but I don’t know what difference it would make.
Nancy regularly shuts down the few actual progressives that exist within Congress and generally sucks.
But Joe has the bully pulpit and uses it to beg Republicans to cooperate with his already-watered-down proposals and then continues to be surprised when they pull the football away. That’s fucking infuriating.

Joe’s son was kicked out of the military for doing coke, seems like more of a fair comparison than noting Hunter never went to jail for doing drugs.

He could have handled it a lot better, after all he’s a politician and would know how it could be seen by people like me, he failed her for a past mistake that any American could have made, he didn’t need to fall back on them the rules, that’s the law but that statement alone made me angry because many Americans seem to get away with a lot more than some.
Good, any drugged up person with access to high power weapons should be let go immediately.
There is zero difference between biden pelosi and schumer other than chuck is only slightly younger and therefore slightly more immune to the “ancient fossil who should have retired years ago” approach. And he’s fucking 70!

Schumer sucks, but I don’t think it would be a whole lot better if it were Jeff Merkley or Sherrod Brown in that spot. He’s a distant third.
Joe is enraging, but I think he actually tries to do some good things. He just sucks at it.
Nancy is the worst. She’s 80 years old, worth over $100 million and is choosing to spend the last years of her life fucking over actual progress in this country.

Furthermore, these rules are disproportionately wielded against people of color and black Americans specifically. There is no shortage of things to be angry about with the Dems, but a pet peeve of mine is how many swings and misses Joe has on race. We were told Bernie was no good with the Blacks, big weakness! And Joe has a certified Black Friend, big advantage! If we have elections again in 2024 and if Joe runs again, the Rs might not even need voter suppression. Joe’s tough on crime, drugs are bad, cops just need more funding rhetoric will knock down black voter turnout.
Joe has no say over the IOC’s drug policies, not sure what he’s supposed to do there.

I hoped this was obvious, but I should have mentioned in my post.
I didn’t ask or say anything about the IOC, what I meant was that JB could be a little more knowledgeable about the facts and the facts are weed is now legal in some states and he could have worded and worked that into the answer, instead he went with ‘them are the rules, ya kbow’ when we all know its been the policy of America to push the war on drugs all over the world and its the main reason for why the rest of the world can’t go the same root as most American states because of you know, the American trade policy’s and military machine.
But yeah for sure, strawman my answer.

One of the fun subplots of COVID is that it wasn’t really the boomers who were wiped out, it was their parents. The oldest boomers aren’t even 80 yet. A stereotypical 65 year old boomer got to kill off their burdensome parents living in a nursing home. Boomers really do stay winning.

True, its just sad to see it happening in real time while am sat at home enjoying the fruits and food that she can’t I suppose and feel bad for her.
And as there’s no way imo we can let drugs take over the sports it’s probably for the best in the end.
But it’s still Joe I’d hate on more, simply because he’s the head atm and could be making more of his time at the top.
If there was an age of Dems poll then I’d think it would be an easier choice and I’m referring to a post that quoted the EDems ages all being over like 70 or something, it’s them old ones that are holding the Dems back I believe.
What drives me crazy is that its not obvious to Biden, or if it is he’s scared to say it because it will upset his Republican buddies. It should be the first thing out of his mouth, not “rules are rules” BS.
