The Presidency of the Joes, part II: lol documents

Oh I thought she was actually going to have triplets lol.

if you had a valid point, you wouldn’t have to fabricate this bullshit. Take you bs drama elsewhere tyvm. You can’t deal with me being very right on this topic, so you’re deciding to attack me instead. It’s pathetic honestly.

Who the fuck is Peter Baker and why is he such an asshole? Parents swap out the pet fish for 18 years and never told him Goldie’s 1-17 went to the big toilet bowl in the sky?

Cliffs on the trans people stuff? I didn’t read politcs that much, so I don’t know every bit of what happened there. I’m familiar with the Trayvon stuff but I either forgot or never read the other stuff.

I was the OP on the thread in question. I went back to have a look out of my own curiosity.

It’s hard to write cliffs because CNs posting in that thread was really bad. Not really clear what he was arguing, just pages and pages of contrarian gotcha posting without really taking a position.

Tbh. People attitudes to trans issues have evolved so much over the last few years, I don’t see the value in relitigating 10 year old posts.

Doing it in the context of him actually posting in support of gay parents now seems… really weird.

Just utter bullshit victor. Harass someone else tyvm

really good post here. thanks for contributing.

How’s that working out, Joe?

Yeah this is why I say the democrats aren’t a monolith. Even world class shitlibs like Klob & Schumer understand whats happening and do want to nuke the filibuster especially for voting rights. While plenty of centrists are happy to have Manchin & Cinema doing what they’re doing, I highly doubt they would stand up to the pressure if they were deciding votes. If we had 53 or 54 seats we would probably get this done.

That said our leaders are weak as fuck. They recognize it and want it, but they should do absolutely everything including bribes, blackmail, and threats.

We had a chance if democrats had built off the momentum they had after the covid relief bill and done a bunch of good shit. They could have kept the house and got a couple more senate seats.

Obviously they completely fucked it up.

I do hope really bad things happen to Manchin and Cinema.

I’m imagining an alternate universe with President Klob throwing staplers at Joe Manchin and making Sinema cry. WE WERE SO CLOSE!

Took about 2.5 weeks off unpaid the 2nd half of August. That time off just happened to coincide with the colonoscopy procedure I had done, and since I didn’t maintain the minimum of 30 hours per week over a period of 13 weeks., from which they calculate that average,I had my insurance dropped.

But I got on cobra and didn’t have to pay the September premium because of my president! I love my president

The tax bill is going to be a disgrace. This article is a disgrace too. “Republicans say…” No need to tell the reader who is right!

Peak gaslighting

Estate and capital gains tax changes proposed by the president and embraced by Mr. Wyden are aimed at the superrich, but the campaign against them frames the issue around family farms and small businesses. Ms. Heitkamp rebuffed Mr. Wyden’s assurance that he could structure the changes to affect only the very wealthy and the gain in value of their assets without taxation.

“People don’t believe that, because they believe that rich people always have the lane to get into Congress,” she said. “I get that you’re trying to deal with a huge disparity in wealth in this country, and I get that you are concerned about that for the future of America. I share the concern. Taxing unrealized capital gains is not the path forward.”

fixed that for them

Manchin opening offer is $1 trillion with some
wiggle room to $1.5

https://www.axios.com/scoop-manchin-backs-as-little-as-1-trillion-of-bidens-35-trillion-plan-91d079e0-84a7-4f8f-94d4-212827a61339.html?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=editorial&utm_content=politics-breaking

  • He’s also talking about means testing on other key proposals, including extending the enhanced Child Tax Credit, which provides up to an additional $300 per child per month, free community college, universal preschool and child care tax creditS

Also won’t use dynamic scoring because was wrong when Republicans did it

Lol Dems always and forever

House should pass whatever they want in a $3.5 trillion bill and say lots of luck take it or leave it.
