The Presidency of the Joes, part II: lol documents

Sure but uh the planet is on fire, wealth inequality is out of control, billionaires donā€™t pay taxes, millions of people donā€™t have health care, millions of people have food insecurity and/or no access to healthy food. But sure letā€™s focus on making sure lawbros donā€™t miss out on sweet career opportunities.

Iā€™d also like to see them nationalize the 401k (like a global, portable TSP) to make things less expensive and confusing for everyone. But yeah, I guess we canā€™t do that because of global warming and such.

No Iā€™m all for doing it. Iā€™m just saying that I disapprove of the priorities.

Lol nobody cares about this (yes itā€™s a real problem)

In my (limited and Canadian) experience no one bothers to enforce non competes unless its really blatant. Why get tangled up in a lawsuit for limited upside?

I could see it being more common in the US because your corporate leaders are even more sociopathic so theyā€™ll do it just to punish perceived traitors.

The noncompete stuff could change the entire structure of my industry.

Without NDAs, the entire Trump enterprise would come to a crashing end. Donald would lose his mind.

Shit will get struck down by the supreme court easily lol. Most pro corporate supreme court in several generations. Thatā€™s why focusing on voting rights so we can actually win big majorities and pack that court are all that matters

Your non compete shit might last a few years max and be fought in the courts the whole time so probably never in effect

Theyā€™re legit making shit up to side with corporations over labor, this has no chance.

Wait, this took 6 months?

Should be pretty standard to disable VPN access when employees are terminated.

CC: JOE FUCKING BIDEN

ā€œFuck it, Iā€™m old. If it happens Iā€™ll be dead.ā€

I think Biden does want to pass voting stuff along with a lot of democrats, I just think theyā€™re terrible politicians who arenā€™t good at exerting pressure. I think the only president in modern history who gets this done with this congress is lbj.

Lots of democrats see the writing on the wall and want to make change, theyā€™re just old and useless and canā€™t handle the centrists the way good politicians could. A McConnell would handle them. Heā€™s overrated but he usually gets his people in line, sometimes he just takes stupid fucking lines

Yeah he fucked up healthcare but I think a lot of that was McCain owning trump.

This is a lot of it. #notallboomers and all that, but a huge contingent of people their age have had it super super easy and so they donā€™t know how to deal with adversity. They donā€™t even recognize adversity. The 80s and 90s were a fucking breeze for American politicians. Pelosi and Schumer types think they were successful politicians because their ascension to power coincided with a phantom American Golden Age created by slashing the shit of tax rates and the implosion of the USSR.

Seriously they thrived because they were spineless, corrupt, and incompetent because those traits were perfect for politics in the 80ā€™s and 90ā€™s.

We have had so many executive orders to lower drug prices in the last five years, drugs should be free at this point.

McConnell only takes lines that he knows his people will follow. McConnell canā€™t get the Republican caucus do something they donā€™t really want to do.

The Democrats have too many people who think of themselves as independent thinkers and not enough partisan hacks.
