The Presidency of the Joes, part II: lol documents

Nobody is mad about the photo. People are mad that some people find the photo amusing. Hope that helps.

Laughing and thinking something is funny = mad? What?

This derail is dumb though and we should all just move on.

No. The origin here was ZZ who is not a Pete hater or homophobic. Heā€™s just a grouch and hates everything. After that people told him he needed to be more inclusive.

exactly this

The only things i can remember about Peteā€™s campaign is attacking his hero Bernie with right wing talking points and dropping out while in the lead

No one is mad at the photo. The maddest people are the ones who think other people are mad at the photo. Hope that helps.

This.

And no he did not propose universal healthcare. He proposed a public option that would have cost a ridiculous amount of money for most people.

Going on and on with how are we going to pay for universal healthcare lol

I think youā€™ll find the mad ones are the ones who are mad at the people who think other people are mad at the photo.

I have the worldā€™s worst sarcasm detector and even I could tell zikzak wasnā€™t seriously suggesting that some woman who needed a bed was kicked out of it so they could get the photo. No one was.

Iā€™m still quite curious about this whole process. Who pays for the room when it happens that way? I canā€™t imagine the health insurance does. Itā€™s hard enough getting them to pay for actually life-saving treatments. Is it just baked into the cost of adoption? Is it an extra option you can add on?

There are probably a few of those as well. But thereā€™s no one mad at the photo with the possible exception of ZZ.

Plus he didnā€™t know that both had had epidurals in preparation for the birth. Itā€™s hard to stay on your feet after that.

We have a friend who adopted two Black kids. I donā€™t know how much it cost, but she doesnā€™t have a lot of money.

Well for that kind of cash, hopefully they can get a hospital room. As I mentioned earlier, Iā€™d never heard of that specific arrangement before, but if it does happen, then it seems like a nice option to have and it would also completely explain the photo.

I guess I should just ask my wife for the details. They were young. The adopting mom knew the birth mom and I think was involved before birth.

i commend you on doing your own research

Since you all keep mentioning me, I would like to point out that I stopped contributing to the discussion because itā€™s dumb and really not worth 100+ posts over the course of an entire day. If you think me finding absurdity in that photo reflects poorly on my character then that is a cross I must bear, and we can now move on to other things.

I know someone else who spent years trying to adopt a baby from China, but gave up. I think they went to China once. The whole thing cost a lot and they didnā€™t get a baby. Iā€™m sure it would have been at least $30k to get one.

But youā€™re actually right for once

I have a friend who adopted pretty recently and says that all the overseas ones have tightened up considerably. After extensive research, he found S. Korea to be the best option, so that is what he did. Still took ~2yrs.
