The Presidency of the Joes: more like INFRASTRUCTURE WEAK

I mean Jeb! can’t win the Republican primary. Zero chance.

I don’t really know what to think of Franken. Feels like he is a product of his age and prior career a little and certainly invaded women’s personal space and engaged in unwanted advances although it doesn’t seem like they were in the pursuit of further sexual activity?

This is what makes sexual harassment so difficult is the edge cases.

What he did was wrong. The double standard where he is held accountable and Rs never are held accountable is also wrong.

I don’t disagree. He clearly ignored boundaries.

Are literal babies really productive enough to justify this? Don’t know if we want to go down this rabbit hole.

Maybe, I’ve learned its super hard to predict the economy and basically nobody can do it and we were all wrong several times. Even if you’re right, Biden being in good health by then is a big if. Dude will be what, 82. And I’m not team dementia but he’s clearly in cognitive decline and when you actually care about your job, like he does, deeply, this shit ages you like nothing else.

Didn’t he stick his tongue in women’s mouths while rehearsing for USO skits? That’s beyond “invading personal space” IMO.

I think his case feels weird because it’s clearly wrong, but also his actions aren’t as extreme as a lot of the MeToo examples that have gotten media coverage, and also clearly the GOP would have handled this differently than the Dems did. He was also a very charismatic popular progressive senator. Still a creep.

They should be grooming someone for a 2024 run, and I don’t think Kamala Harris is that person. If it were up to me, they’d insert someone calm, strong, and smart to be the face of the fight against coronavirus. Frankly, I’m not sure who that person would be, but I would agree that Biden running for a second term seems like a longshot. I just wish they had someone who could be high profile in this administration and a natural choice for 2024.

Eh once they leave the womb they no longer need protection. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY has gotta set in at some point.

Make hedge funds great again

I wonder if WSB investors will be bailed out, or if they don’t get to freeroll like hedge funds…

So I was listening to a Chuck Schumer clip on the majority report and I gotta say I’m pretty sure at least some of them are aware that its either get shit done or GG democracy. Schumer legit said we need to get big things done or he fears for our democracy and he sounded sincere.

Maybe its narrator time but I do think a lot of dems realize the urgency in this situation. Probably still won’t be enough to convince Manchin/Cinema to fully nuke the filibuster but I could see them do some like mininukes or work arounds. I gotta think they don’t want to be the permanent minority party, especially when Trump 2.0 comes along.

Even 2-3 huge reconciliation bills will have been more than congress has done in what 30-40 years? I think people will realize letting Republicans get control will be the end of that and dems will show up in the midterms.

I was right to be super optimistic about GA, first time my optimism paid off in awhile, so I’m going to ride that into 2022.
