Do the history nerds here know if this expected boom is typical of what’s happened after past pandemics and other upheavals like wars? It seems like it is.
There are some similarities. I’m not going to claim a causal relationship between wars/pandemics and economic booms. That burden of proof is not easy to meet. I’m also not enough of an economics expert to know if this is people buying low at the bottom and that the market will regress to the mean in the near future or if this potential boom will last a long time.
I guess the answer is it’s very possible but not 100% certain.

I know Bush had the benefit of 9/11, but at least early, these kind of numbers seem like they are starting to invoke 2002 midterm levels, which would be really good for the Dems. Especially if all we see from the reds is culture war bullshit and obstruction
