It’s just insane how easy this all is. Just do all the mega popular shit you say you are for.

Biden had a plan for $10k immediately. I think he should say that he will increase that amount proportionate to how much is cut from his $1.9 trillion proposal and tell Senators to choose between more checks or more loan forgiveness.

Probably should get someone with a whole lot more computer expertise, so I’ll pass.

Wait, does that mean I could delete all those “About Unstuck” threads? Maybe I should consider this offer…

But Biden’s Republican friends will say mean things. MEAN THINGS!

People need to figure out that failing to deliver a campaign promise is not a lie.

Sometimes it is.

“I won’t do it again” didn’t mean “I won’t hit you again” you idiot!

Yeah I’m in, just cannot believe how stupid Dems continue to be for no reason. Give people money, it isn’t hard! We’re in a hundred-year level disaster no one will fucking care if it goes to the “wrong” people too.

If hedge fund people get millions in bonuses after bailouts, that’s acceptable, but someone making 50K getting 1400? NFW you bunch of ingrates.

A common argument is that if you go to hard at Manchin, then he will just caucus with the GOP.

I don’t know if it’s true. I’d guess probably not. But it’s not completely implausible.

I suspect it’s more likely he would just declare himself to be an Independent Democrat, the way Harry Byrd did in Virginia.

I fail to see why that matters. If he isn’t helping to pass shit that Dems need to get through to not get swept in 2022, then who he caucuses with seems irrelevant because he is helping the Republican party either way. It might even be to the benefit of the Dems in 2022 if he caucuses with the GOP because at least then it doesn’t look like the Dems failed miserably with a majority, they can put the spotlight of blame on him.

If he is not helping pass any of the shit, then yeah, it doesn’t matter.

If he he helping pass most of the shit or even some of it, then I think it does matter a lot.

The optimistic view of this is that they leaked the means testing so Manchin can later claim he insisted on it before voting yes because the good outweighs the bad, or something.

I don’t think that’s what’s actually happening, it seems there are technocrat chodes driving this nonsense, but it’s possible.
