a bunch of trump loyalists want a judge to tell them not to testify at the impeachment hearings because i guess their lawyers feel that flatly refusing subpoenas out of personal loyalty to trump is a legally perilous strategy

This is genius money wasting on lawyers since McGahn’s suit will be decided in less than 2 weeks making all that moot, as it will apply to pretty much everyone. All they’re trying to do is delay.

I mentioned it the other day but I think Trump going to these sporting events was a political ad.
Watch the GOP show Trump getting booed in NY/DC and cheered in Alabama. It’s the perfect way to blame the coastal elites for hating middle America. The rubes are gonna LOVE he was booed in NY/DC.

The sporting events probably own the copyright to that stuff, and probably wouldn’t let him just use it however he wants in a political ad. Maybe if they had their own cameras/press for the event it’s possible, but I think that’s a big no no from sports teams/NCAA. UFC would probably give it to him, since they’re Trump supporters.
The Trump administration steals copyright shit all the time. They aren’t thinking that far ahead. It’s just immediate debasement to appease the simpleton in the White House.

IANAMFL but it seems like if they were looking out for their client they might not be pursuing this strategy.
I give the dems credit that they seem to be aware that this is a conspired delay tactic to throw a wrench into the works. They are going to move ahead. Will get interesting when more evidence surfaces on those delaying.
Agreed. I definitely think this third event was a scramble to change the narrative. I don’t think it was all planned out in advance of the World Series.
Would love an edited video showing the crowd cheering then zooming, pulling back or panning (whatever makes sense) to a shot of the House impeaching Trump.

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen him look happier than he did tonight, with the possible exception of standing in front of all those Big Macs.
Just for a moment, try to forget everything you know about Trump personally, and think of him just as a kindly old man, maybe your cool Uncle Donny who used to sell cars upstate but retired years ago and now just plays golf and watches football and drinks beer and plays with his grandkids.
