Turns out “being presidential” is sort of important in a lot of situations.
Wait, the guy Trump has is good at singing lullabys to help children sleep, during a Pandemic???
He’s been due for a public meltdown since 2015. I’m skeptical of the talk about his private rages. He wouldn’t have been able to contain it this well. What we’ve seen so far is as out of control as he’s probably getting.
He has melted down dozens of times, the world just keeps changing the definition of meltdown to “something he hasn’t done yet.” Praising literal nazis was pretty much universally thought to be a meltdown at the time, now its “Tuesday.”
He means white people.
How much do you deduct from Washington for using living slaves teeth for dentures?
Yes, the NBZ line is kind of off-topic. I mainly threw it in there because I wanted to trademark “agree to their chagrin.” But I don’t think “within a completely left wing forum” captures the totality of the discussion, either. The larger context was in response to Trump’s claims that people voted in Trump because of Obama’s bad policy decisions. It’s fine for us to criticize each other in the privacy of our own home, because that criticism is (hopefully) constructive. But when the neighbors start launching dishonest attacks, we shouldn’t jump to agree with them because we have a different set of complaints.
I think most of us agree strongly with this.
His meltdowns seems mostly restricted to social media because the MSM is afraid to push those buttons. I mean how do you not ask him about how he wanted to withhold funding from schools that didn’t want to open due to covid19?
That’s not how it works. I get the confusion because Trump has used Barr as his own personal lawyer, but in a normal administration, the president doesn’t get to decide who the DOJ prosecutes. At all.
I suppose this is fine, right? Sure.
This is fine.
This is bananas. I am still ignoring all polling but good god if this is even close to accurate. The “secret” Trump vote theory seems plausible but not enough to overcome these type deficits.

Considering how many people barely pay attention to politics, I wonder if part of what’s going on is that people who haven’t paid much attention for years are tuning in now because the country is burning to the ground. If the last time you paid attention to Trump was Jan 2017 and you watch one of his interviews now, he would seem obviously beaten down and defeated by a job he was never good enough for.
I think for a lot of people, politics is fun. It’s entertainment. But a lot of bad things have happened, and like him or not, POTUS has forced every channel to play the same three episodes starring Trump. People are eager for Biden so they can go back to treating it like a sport.
So the Republican Convention in Florida has been cancelled.
And Trump is throwing out a pitch at a Yankees game?
doesn’t matter because FREEDOM
obviously would not surprise me if biden swept those three on the fox poll by 5 or so but those margins? good lord
thing about summer is traditionally dems have better polls, particularly in red states where you end up with stuff where people were seriously believing hillary could win arizona or whatever else was happening, then they come back a bit in the fall.
That said, trump would have to demonstrate some sort of competence to actually get michigan close again when he hasn’t yet or biden some sort of epic even for his standards gaffe.
Trump’s going to outperform among minorities in 2020 than 16 plus will still outperform rurals from 16, but if those uh, white people numbers are accurate, then maybe it is 90% accounting for nuance and the incoming non stop biden investigations/nobody in portland chicago or philly is allowed to vote.
He has tanked since March. It’s all covid and/or BLM. Probably all covid. None of it is Biden.
Paging narrator, but I think its going to be the boy who cried wolf when Barr announces all the investigations into Biden and his family. It was fun for marginally engaged stupid white people to engage in the Hillary nonsense, but with 15% unemployment, a raging pandemic and a prolonged economic disaster, shit gets real for a lot of these people.
