It’s like someone said on Twitter: this is reverse Watergate where we start off knowing the president and his lawyer are guilty and then we follow the money to find out who all the third-rate fixers and plumbers are.
I was asking myself the same question. I recently made it through a 90 minute Gladwell interview, so I feel like my outraged-podcast-listening stamina is pretty close to optimal for this one.
Also, are you familiar with how Republicans have fared against exit poll results starting at around the time electronic voting machines really took hold? Here’s one thing everyone agrees on: the degree to which Republicans consistently overperformed exit polls is impossible to have occurred by chance. This led to a theory by baffled pollster Warren Mitofsky called the “reluctant [GOP] voter” that has been analyzed and re-analyzed with no one really agreeing on how to interpret irregularities in precinct-level voting data.
Random fact: Mitofsky is the father of exit polling which was first used in the 1967 Kentucky governor’s race.
Not the first, won’t be the last, and I don’t even really want to know how far back you’d have to go to find the last one who doesn’t have that blood in his hands. But the combined egregiousness and scale of this one are up there for the worst all-time.
… in the last week of the year after starting the season 1-14…
And the win is probably going to cost your team the #1 pick, because you’re playing the other 1-14 team and they benched everyone to lock in the top draft pick.
I ~never listen to the interviews, but I do get value out of the Q&A bit he does at the beginning of the program. As much as I lol at Preet, he does know the nuts and bolts of the law and a lot of legal inside baseball. No way I listen to Conway and his #resistance gritting.
This fucking guy. You see like two sentences a year in Spanish from any of his accounts, and it basically translates to, “Stay the fuck out while I’m president.”
I guess I should add that those cliffs are second hand, my GF listened this morning and that’s a direct quote Of the cliffs she gave me. I deleted Preet from my Stitcher faves a few months ago.
(She also said other than that it was a good interview)
