The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: ORANGE Gettin' PEACHed, Nation Goes BANANAS

The “commit so many crimes they can’t keep up” defense is working on me. I am utterly confused as to who these two guys are who were just arrested, what they did, the precise ties to Giuliani and his crimes, etc.

That’s why this time around they’re just going for tried and true voter registry purges.

Probably just talking about adoptions.

Understood, but this illustrates my broader point. If the way to understand all the crimes is to read a 21-page indictment, then it’s not going to resonate with the public.

As many others have pointed out, the Ukraine call was super easy and simply to understand, and came with quotes like “I’d like you to do me a favor, though…”

They’ve been doing voter registry purges forever. It’s not enough. Stuff like that can get you 1-2% of the vote back, but that doesn’t work very well if you’re going to lose by 5-10%.

Obviously we have to make all of the voter suppression shenanigans illegal ASAP after we win in 2020. Fucking up the GOP’s cheating should be priority #1. With not gerrymandered districts, automatic/easy voter registration, and federal money to setup large efficient polling places we should roll them every election from 2020 until they GOP brand renovation.

Not from the indictment, but basically a couple of Ukrainian grifters who were working with Giuliani to get the ambassador fired and dig up dirt on Biden were spreading oligarch money to Trump PAC and other politicians to help promote those ends.

Basically, they were doing crimes to help Trump and Rudy do their crimes.

Who is foreign national 1?

So then are these pro-Russian Ukrainians? The dynamics are kind of confusing. Trump certainly seems to be pro-Russia. Russia appears to be pro-Trump. The new Ukrainian President does not speak out against Trump. Yet the Ukrainian President isn’t pro-Russia because he wants US funds to help fight them. What is it that these Ukrainian guys wanted in exchange for their donations?

In before “I don’t know them. Never met them.”

“Sir they’re your” lawyers"."

“Lawyers the best lawyers. I have many lawyers. When you have as many witch hunts against you as I do you need lawyers. How many lawyers does Hillary have? Her lawyers, very corrupt, acid washed her emails and helped Sleepy Joe steal money. 1 billion dollars a month. Did you know they paid Hunter Biden 1 billion per month? Very corrupt. Such corruption.”

And then of course the NYT will ask if important people like Trump should know all their lawyers and poll 6 farmers in a dinner in Iowa and the cycle will begin anew.

They were buying US politicians for favors like getting a license to sell marijuana in Nevada.

Also seems pretty easy to understand even without getting into the details of their straightforward campaign finance viola… um, crimes.

So this is mainly about personal corruption motivations and not really about foreign policy except as it links to the corruption? TY.

Catching up but this actually keeps my faith in humanity intact for now (barely). Suppose we write a poll with two logical and opposing options but throw in a logically-dominated and dumbest possible third option for the lulz. We sample a few hundred people at random and bet on the results. Which side of o/u 4% you want?

They’ve been doing voter registry purges forever. It’s not enough.[/quote]

Until recently the Voting Rights Act stopped some of the worst the GOP could to.

Imagine if they adopt the Georgia senate election playbook for the whole country.

But a focus on turnout obscures the fact that voters faced barriers on their way to the polls. On election day, voters in precincts with high minority populations reported dealing with voting machines without power, locations with too few machines, and an insufficient number of provisional ballots, the lawsuit notes. And while many of these voters were still able to cast a ballot, some were not.

  1. Misinformation campaign (Facebook, Twitter, other social media, Fox news etc.)
  2. Take away the right to vote away from millions of citizens (felons)
  3. Make it as hard as possible for Dem voters to register
  4. If they manage to register, remove them from the voter rolls arbitrarily
  5. Close precincts and restrict early voting in Dem leaning districts
  6. Make the precincts you can’t just close hard to reach
  7. Ensure long lines
  8. Do not provide sufficient voting machines or ballots for those who jumped through the hoops to get to the precinct
  9. Do not use paper ballots. Those could be audited
  10. Wipe the serve after the election

As far as I can tell anyway, although we don’t know who their foreign source of funding is so that information might change things.
