At this moment you’re right. He’s going to be impeached, but then he’s not going to be removed in the Senate. That doesn’t mean that there isn’t a magical line in the polling sand where Senate Republicans cut their losses with him though. Never underestimate this stupid princelings unlimited ability to fuck shit up. He’s only been operating without any adult supervision for the last 6 months or so and he’s already managed to step on a land mine looking for dirt on Joe Biden (way early) in Ukraine.
Northern Syria just got invaded by the Turks less than 24 hours after Trump pulled out fucking over an ally. It’s a bad look and it’s the kind of thing Republican Senators actually care about.

You have to remember, the GOP hates Trump. Hell, they probably hate him more than we do. But they are paralyzed because of Trumpkin voters. But there’s an inflection point where they have no choice but to cut ties w/ Trump and throw him under the bus. The only issue is, do we reach that inflection point before the 2020 election? If we do, he’ll be kicked to the curb.
Trump being anti-war and wanting to get troops out of the ME might sink him. After all, you don’t mess with the military industrial complex. Trump removing troops will piss a lot of people off.
