Maybe, but pundits everywhere (even Trump himself!) are quoting the transcript. It was different with the Mueller report because if they quoted an entire page, you were still missing hundreds of pages of context. Thatās just not the case here. Five days of your favorite pundit commenting on one page a day means youāve basically read the whole thing. The difference isnāt in what the pundits are quoting but in their interpretation.
Letās also remember that the whistleblower is going to testify and already saw this as a matter of grave national security, so their testimony, just as the transcript, will have a very different impact than Muellerās.

Lol, the released transcript isnāt a copy of the original document. āDeclassified by order of the Presidentā was edited into it. This isnāt how you declassify shit. You canāt edit documents that are completed, and if you do you have to do it by hand so everyone can see the original.

Yes, but if their spin is this bad and has already moved the needle so far, Iām cautiously optimistic that even closed-door testimony will build on this momentum. Something like 35% MORE Democrats turned from ehhhhh to favoring impeachment almost overnight. It went from something like 150/280 to 250/280.
Iām not sure what 280 is, there are 235 Dems in the House. It went from like 140-150 supporting impeachment to 212 currently.
But the problem with closed door testimony is that it would only be to House Intel, so even other members of the House wouldnāt be able to sit in or see a transcript. From there, theyād have to take steps to declassify it to use it for impeachment.

Iām cautiously hoping some of these Dems are just waiting for the whistleblower testimony to give them enough of an excuse to go pro-impeachment.

My numbers are for sure off and Iām somewhat embarrassed but meant primarily to illustrate the shift in support for impeachment. I believe last night 2/3 of the dem caucus are now in favor. Dems in swing districts are, well, now coming out swinging.
I felt like some LOLnuns were appropriate before because of how the Dems were responding with Mueller, but this is objectively different, both in substance and the Dems response.
Now if that makes me nun 2.0 then letās just agree to disagree and hope for the best.

No, on the contrary, I think heās very very likely to be impeached now. Whether or not heās convicted in the Senate is an open question, but I think thereās a very small non-zero chance of that.
