Can’t beleive that’s the end of it - this gets the protesters off the streets maybe but I doubt China is giving up on it’s desire to get people it’s wants in it’s hands whether that is by extradition or darker methods.

Yea I have a brilliant programmer on my team, but I sort of give him a pass because although he’s very smart, is a little susceptible to conspiracy theories, and spent most of his early life into his 20’s in the USSR - so he has a weird view of the world (and of “socialism”) and tends to idolize capitalism because of it. He’s really gullible to propaganda. He’s kind of a fascinating case study.
Maybe even some kind of partnership, one strong enough to transit the Pacific ocean.
The funny thing about Trump whining about the protectionist EU is that he is the one who stopped negotiations on a free-trade-agreement.
Granted there was loads of criticism on it from the European left and it is not clear that the EU would have signed it, but Trump did not even try to get a deal. So bad…
It’s also crazy that the average tariff with the EU is under 3%, he’s saying this shit, and a lot of people believe him. The tariffs going up in the trade war with China are 30%+.
Trade wars are good and easy to win. Those sweet EU tariff dollars are ripe for the taking!
