Sorry for the derail, but this is a huge leak in my parenting game. I’m sure the situation will arise some time. Anyone have any tips on how exactly to navigate one of these calls. I’m sure a lot depends on what the other person says. Is anyone afraid some sort of retribution against the kid (or maybe sibling in the future).

I suppose advice may vary depending on whether school is public or private. Kids are currently in the latter. I’ve had some much more minor issues come up and I’m sure I’ve handled them suboptimally.

We had a guy at work. We let him over hear us bitching about someone not taking care of the equipment properly. Without fail he’s go rip the offender a new asshole. Then we could have a nice coffee break with the offender and hear them whine about getting chewed out. :cowboy_hat_face:

One aspect is that if Trump is impeached and removed from office (even after he leaves office) it de facto disqualifies him from running for president in 2024 or ever again.

Retribution against the kid is another call but worse, they know that and would be foolish to take it out on the kid.

Vote for Removal is 2/3 and vote for Disqualification is 1/2. So I personally guarantee that if the Senate votes for removal they will vote for disqualification.

Damn - that’s a fairly light toss - must have hit just the worst possible way. So apparently this is not the guy who got dragged out of the alcove.
