In fairness, the ‘debunking’ seems to be based on an uncritical acceptance of his wife’s word that he ‘would never do something like that’ (where ‘that’ is presumably ‘storming the Capitol and stealing a painting’ rather than ‘tasing himself in the balls’). Doesn’t seem like she was there and I mean, what would you be saying in her shoes?
