Why not? The original barriers that were set up and overrun by these lunatics were like a half mile from the capitol. They literally beat and trampled cops to get up to the exterior of the building.
So like…what do you think we’ll see if he’s impeached?
Will the Senate even hold hearings or a trial? Who the fuck would show up to defend him? But if he does mount a defense, what would they say?

I don’t know what we’ll see exactly, but I hope they’ll include not just his words leading up to the coup, but his actions during it. That means figuring out his reaction to the violence and whether he really called in reinforcements like he said he did. I’m warming up slightly to the idea of the House waiting a little bit before giving the impeachment papers to the Senate, but not 100 days.
