That drug cocktail the moron is talking about is being used with some success in Korea. It seems to have the potential to keep some patients out of ICU or at least off the ventilators. Iām glad FDA is looking into it and potentially expediting the testing/approval.
Of course this dinkbag is just hoping to take credit for other peopleās work.

Weāre like 8 minutes into this thing and Trump is going nuts, I canāt imagine how ridiculous heās going to be in May.

I believe one of the things with this virus that shuts down the respiratory system is an over-reaction by the immune system. I forget the term, something storm. So though it may seem strange to use an immunosuppressive here, it also sort of makes sense.
That can be a good thing for someone with life-threatening inflammation, I think.
Yes, I read that post about doctors hoarding it. But I also heard that two companies in the US have been actively stockpiling these two medicines over the past several weeks and millions of doses may be available for treatment if it gets FDA approval. Iāll see if I can find that again.
This was all going on without any involvement by the orange idiotās administration, of course. But if it appears to help of course he wants to get in front of it now and take credit.

I saw an article about the 26 people itās been used on with some possibility of helping. But anyway, it could possibly help at some stage when thereās an immune system storm happening, but be harmful at an earlier stage where you are trying to fight the virus.
Not that I know much of anything, but more than Trump anyway.

It is used to treat things like rheumatoid arthritis. But, seems like you need your immune system at least at the early stage when you are trying to be one of the people who are exposed, but not symptomatic. Anyway, Iām just beating the horse that itās an irresponsible tweet. People could start taking these drugs. And possibly increase the chances they develop symptoms and cough on someone who doesnāt listen to Trump.
I believe this is the part where maybe it can be treated with this drug cocktail instead of with ventilators. Italy will be a good test case. Iāve read S. Korea is in Italy helping.
Oh I donāt know shit either. Just trying to relay my understanding. Donāt think this is a slam dunk or a cure all in any way. But if it can reduce the need for ventilators for some patients, or reduce the time the ventilators are needed for a patient, that will help.

The leading German virologist said he is not convinced by the study on Chloroquine, as the treatment group was too different from the control group (further along in the course of Covid mainly, so that you would expect them to get well faster).
