Chronicles of Riddick GOAT. You nerds just went into the theater expecting Pitch Black II and got butthurt because you got a brilliantly executed, beautifully shot sci-fi comic book movie instead. And most of you love comic book movies, which I usually hate. So that’s what I don’t get.

Ebert was great because he would always give a thumbs-up to a complete trash movie if he just had fun watching it. He understood high art but also he could also watch something completely stupid like F/X if it made him laugh. If Ebert didn’t like your movie then it genuinely had no redeeming value whatsoever at any level, not even as a dumb Sunday morning action movie. I suspect the man consumed copious amounts of ganj.
