I can’t help taking a perverse pleasure in just how shitty this particular confluence of events must be for the Orange In Chief.
- I thought I read somewhere that he is a bit of a germaphobe. At it’s very essence Covid-19 is something that makes him uncomfortable.
- It is tanking his beloved stock market, which he has ridiculously held up as an indicator of his own performance.
- This being a worldwide issue that is going to impact people quite directly makes it very hard for him to cultivate the narrative himself and have his media puppets hold that line.
- It also puts healthcare front and center in the lead-up to November.
I know, I know - the old “Let’s see him wriggle his way out of this one” meme and all that…but I am hunting for pleasure where I can, and with the current lack of Walrus action I am taking some pleasure in knowing that today, at least, that buffoon is having a pretty shitty time.

The State Department is pushing to designate at least one violent white supremacist group as a foreign terrorist organization, an unprecedented move that national security experts say would be a big step toward fighting a growing threat on U.S. soil.
State Department officials want to have the designation finalized by next week, according to four people familiar with the effort. But the White House, where top officials have long preferred to focus on terrorism by Islamist extremists, has yet to give the green light.
