I’m not misinformed friend. I’m asking you as a Bernie supporter, Why do you think it’s wrong for someone to work hard and reap the benefits of their hard work? It’s simply not American to say that theirs a limit to how much someone should be allowed to succeed.
I’ve truly never understood the mindset of using other countries as examples of how we should be. What country do you think we need to be like? Not Canada or England they are taxed outrageously their doctors make a tiny fraction of what American doctors do and their citizens have to wait months to get procedures done that they can get done in days here. The wealthy people in socialized healthcare leave their countries to cone to America and go to Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins etc. bc we have the best doctors and hospitals in the world. Now I’m not saying cheapest. I’m saying the best. And the good news is that a homeless person can walk in the door at Harvard and see a Harvard trained ER doctor and have their appendix out by a Harvard trained surgeon and they won’t be able to pay the bill so the hospital will have them file a charity care form and the whole thing will be free! I’m telling you as someone that works in healthcare that the average citizen does not understand healthcare. I chose ER bc i wanted to help the poor and rich alike black and white, young and old, girl and boy. ER is the only field where you take care of everyone regardless of who they are or their ability to pay. I get paid by the hour regardless if i see 5 patients an hour or 1 or if those patients have money/insurance or not.
Healthcare in most Western European countries such as Germany and Switzerland have a tiered system which allows private insurance in addition to the universal access plan. This model I could support. Everyone has access but those who choose private insurance also can have it and have the option to choose which hospital they want.
I’m telling you taking people’s choices away is not a good solution. Bernie wants to do away with all private insurance . This is just radical and not in line with most Americans ideals of freedom.
I know you don’t like Trump. Nor do I like him to be honest. I was a never trumper and did not vote for him. But after these few years I can’t deny the positive changes i have seen in our country.
Positive things like low black and female and overall unemployment and a president who supports Gay marriage. No president before him including Obama supported gay rights upon entering office. Trump used to be a Democrat and his daughter is a Democrat and he values her opinions and fights for things she believes in like childcare access for women.
He is not the super conservative that people paint him as.
Regardless i know you want him out. But I’m telling you Bernie although his base of supporters is fired up they are NOT the majority of Americans. Bernie will be crushed by Trump if he is the party nominee.
Dem voters need to realize most Americans are moderate not radical left or right.
Thinking centrist is the only way to win the hearts of most Americans common sense and the recognition that we have over 23 trillion in debt and our economy will collapse if a socialist is elected.
We have similar goals/ideals my hope is for no American to be homeless or starving. For every child to get a good education. For everyone to have access to healthcare.
Things do need to change but Bernie doesn’t like American values of capitalism and that my friend has been what has made the middle class.
I’m telling you our strong middle class is the envy of the world.
I wish people who say we should be like Finland or Denmark would just move there! They have that right. Go live in another country for a while let me know if your quality of life is the same.
I’m not even in a country that good and it’s still better than living in America.

I would snap move to 75% of countries in Europe if it were that simple. As is, I moved to Mexico City 2 years ago and it’s been a massive upgrade in quality of life. Better infrastructure than most American cities at like 40% the cost.

The worst part about Trump making the worst decisions is when they work out for him.
Like if you had the ability to make Trump do crazy things that should cost him the election and land him in prison, but you couldn’t be TOO obvious about it, would you have him do anything other than what he’s literally already done?

I mean I don’t think he can do anything to make these people turn. So the answer is no matter what you have him do it won’t matter. His new plan is literally to kill elderly people at a never before seen rate and the right completely loves it and was on board within a day.
Now maybe when the bodies start piling up that changes. But if there is one thing we know from the Trump era it is that these people are so brainwashed and incapable of walking any of their horrible beliefs back that it won’t matter.

Comet is actually superior to the old Sci-Fi network now that I think about it. Their filler is Stargate and the Outer Limits.
They also have super nice beats. Extra love for the mid-late 90’s era drum and bass.
ETA: They do, in fact, stream. Cutting the mfukn cord soon enough.
