The Presidency of Donald J. Trump, Episode VII: We Are All Going To Die, Thanks Obama!

Just tuned in. I said it yesterday and I’ll say it again, but I honestly think Trump may be right that these press conferences are helping him.

Most low info people and all Trumpkins will eat this bullshit up.

Anyone who can see through it, already knew Trump was a moron.

These should not be televised. If any useful information is disseminated it can be broadcast later.

Seriously, I think a bunch of unstuck regs would easily be dunking on Trump nonstop with relatively simple questions.

Oh you didn’t remember to ask me the propaganda Q… Don’t worry I’ve got it.

They’re conditioned to behave like the President isn’t a narcissist imbecile. Hard to change gears after so many years of asking questions to nearly competent average people.

In a potentially catastrophic situation though, the media could never ever justify not carrying it live in order to use their editorial judgement for rebroadcast later.

Suppose Trump comes out and says “I’ve got the virus”. You want to play that back later?

Yeah, this is complete horseshit. Maybe I’ll give them a pass in the first year of the Trump presidency. By now it’s crystal clear who and what Trump is. Any reporter who hasn’t yet adapted is incompetent.

One of the things that’s stuck out to me while watching dirty money is that, while it sucks that there are heinously evil people out there that will do basically any crime to get rich, they all have a virtual army mid and low level corporate people who are more than happy to look the other way to what’s going on in front of them. And they’re not even really getting anything out of it!

But if they are worthless with their press pass who cares they are not doing their jobs and their bosses should fire them.

All a bunch of cowards.

Well it’s just not them losing it but the outlet they represent.

Temporarily happened with WaPo forever ago. I believe that intimidated outlets into playing nice because they care more about having access than holding people accountable for their actions.

The outlets themselves are cowards too. I meant them all. Access is meaningless if this is what you do with it.

Fair enough.

A lot if people will do a lot if wrong in exchange for a paycheck.

I’ve un-unfollowed and started engaging right-wingers again on my FB feed - as much as my sanity will allow. I can’t in good conscience allow their bubbles to go completely unchallenged. I know it’s painful but if every liberal out there started doing the same - I am almost certain it would make a difference.

I’m telling them why I’m engaging now - that this isn’t normal politics as usual - 100s of 1000s of lives could be at stake and I can’t just be silent.

I think about this quote several times a day. I can tell all the bros on my FB feed who are either losing tons in the market or miffed that their job is drying up. They keep downplaying this thing and emphasizing the panic every step of the way. It sucks but these guys are well off already.

Someone needs to convince Trump that swallowing a dozen mentos and then immediately guzzling coke is a preventative.
