I don’t think he does much else. I want to read his truths when it’s his own insane ramblings, but if it’s too much of him just spamming right wing news this will get tiresome.
I’m don’t even follow this nearly as much as many here and even I know Cannon is NOT going to get a say in what can or cannot be used at trial.
He’ll certainly never be president again. He couldn’t even beat Biden before the J6 hearings. It can’t possibly be better for him now. His base is loud, but small. In fact, we wouldn’t even be hearing much about him if it weren’t for MSM still lapping up every fucking irrelevant thing he says for ratings
But if you’re like me, “done” would include seeing this wretched shit stain pay for his criminality. I do think his business is done and will be brought down in the civil case by the New York AG. He’ll be able to grift for a while longer, but once it becomes apparent that he’s no longer politically relevant or viable, that will end. His name branding game, which he’s relied on for so long will also be over. Even if the Trump name was still marketable and in good standing (which it isn’t), MAGA chuds aren’t the ones developing hotels, skyscrapers, and office buildings who could pay him the healthy fees he has enjoyed for so long. So that’s done
The only area where I’m not as confident, would be to say that he’s done from a criminal standpoint as in being indicted or ending up in jail. However, I am a betting man and would put the chance for an indictment at some point greater than 50%. To hear people around here talk, it’s like 5%, which is just absurd. Let me explain my reasoning…
I fully understand (and share) everyone’s disappointment that Garland chose to let the clock run out on what was uncovered by the Mueller investigation. The only reason I can come up with for this, is that he is of the mindset that this was the job of the last AG and he doesn’t feel overruling a previous AG by picking up what they neglected to do is in the best interest of the department. But what reason do we have to think that he doesn’t care about what happens in HIS watch? Consider we still probably wouldn’t know about the search of MAL if it weren’t for Trump himself. This theory going around that he just doesn’t care and hasn’t been doing anything is completely baseless. He is known to be tight lipped and exceedingly thorough. Look how he worded those search warrants. He’s playing rings around Trump and his legal team to this point. I’m not sure he’s ever lost a case as an AG.
Now he may decide not to indict due to fear of violent unrest, etc. If so, I’ll be as disappointed as anyone. But either way, by the time Garland, Willis, and the J6 committee are through, Trump will be nothing more than a shit stain in the pages of our history books. And that’s my very long winded definition of “done”
I think your perspective is reasonable. Part of the frustration that people have is that the idea that “he will get got someday” is basically an unfalsifiable assertion. No matter how many times Trump steps on alleged landmines without blowing up, the Lawbro side can always say that we just have to wait until he steps on the next supposed landmine. Even if Trump just up and dies in a few years before suffering any consequences, the Lawbros can just say oh well, he would have got got for sure definitely if he hadn’t died. This dynamic makes it inevitable that normal people will suffer from WE GOT HIM fatigue.
