I read the affidavit and Iâm pretty confident that its release in its current form will be a net benefit, and a significant one, to Trump. Too much is redacted, ainât nobody got time to read 38 pages, and Fox News will present Trumpâs lawyersâ letters from it as fact and ignore the rest. The story will be that the FBIâs own search warrant affidavit says that Trump could declassify all of it at any time, because it includes a copy of his lawyerâs letter which says that.

Itâs significant for the DOJ to put it in writing, even if nothing happens.
Well then, this is big news for future historians who can benefit from all the careful documentation of Trumpâs crimes. Not great for those of us watching democracy unravel in real time.

Dared 5 seconds of FNC. Some guy labeled as âGorsuchâ first law clerkâ was saying it was impossible for A president to commit these crimes. The Nixon defense combined with the itâs automatically declassified defense.
