Nope. They are revered because they were the first NASA crew lost on a mission back when we were still under the illusion that crew safety was something that wouldn’t be compromised for politics. I remember a lot about that day, I don’t remember Reagan at all.
Reagan was a grandpa alright, and just as cool as a grandpa trying to josh it up with the young people. The list goes:
I remember Reagan. They were admirable people, but the crew wasn’t special compared to other shuttle crews except for the fact that they were unlucky. They were aware the risks were higher than generally known and accepted them. They probably didn’t know the true risks and certainly weren’t told engineers had recommended not flying that day. McCauliffe I don’t think should have been there. The publicity of a teacher in space just wasn’t worth it.
Considering cool it seems like you have to factor in the times. Reagan not near top for me but Kennedy is. Obama def coolest though he’s lost a step.
Oh boy, I can’t wait to read all the post-debate analysis of the number of times each candidate had their mic cut and the righteous indignation we will have to endure if/when Trump’s mic gets cut more.
Biden isn’t going to get his mic cut. He’s not going to break the rules and it’ll be a great dichotomy for the viewers to see that he respects the debate rules while Trump doesn’t.
It was late, I slipped into Presidents in my lifetime and forgot Kennedy, he’s definitely on the podium, after the podium they’re all just old white guys.
He’ll just keep talking but louder - I feel this may be worse for Biden as the viewers won’t hear Trump babbling, but it will still distract Biden. For this to work, they need to have Biden and Trump in different rooms.
I like how the “Or draw 25” is written in sharpie, like it wasn’t originally on the card, but Trump wrote it in because he just can’t risk sacrificing a single Proud Boy voter
Agree. Trump isn’t saying anything new after that last debate. People want to see if he gets his shit together or further spirals out of control. The picture of Trump flailing and screaming in the distance with his mic cut off is going to sit in the history books and define the end of his run as POTUS.
